In a serious security scare, Delhi Police arrested three laborers – Kasim, Monis, and Soyeb – for attempting to enter the highly secure Parliament complex using forged Aadhaar cards. The incident occurred on June 4th, when CISF officials at the entry gate identified discrepancies in their IDs.
According to the FIR, Monis and Kasim presented the same Aadhaar card with different photos, raising suspicion. Investigators believe both cards were likely forged. All three men hail from Uttar Pradesh and were reportedly hired for construction work within the MP lounge.
The arrested individuals are facing charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including forgery, cheating by impersonation, and criminal conspiracy. Police are currently investigating the source of the fake IDs and whether the contractor, Sahnawaj Alam, had any knowledge of the fraudulent documents.
This incident highlights the importance of robust security measures at sensitive government buildings. Further investigation is needed to determine if there were any lapses in the entry procedures and to prevent similar attempts in the future.
