The Hon’ble Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was supposed to come out of jail today morning, but the Hon’ble Delhi High Court said today that he cannot go out now. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) prayed before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court to stop his release by way filling an appeal against the order of the Ld. Court below. They did not agree with the lower court’s decision, which said he can go home.
ED lawyer Mr Raju said the lower court had made a big mistake. He said they did not consider all of the important evidences and misrepresented some facts. He also said the court should have thought more carefully before claiming there was no evidence against Mr. Kejriwal.
The High Court heard the ED and said they needed to think more about it. They decided that Mr Kejriwal would not be allowed to go out of jail until they studied everything carefully.
Mr Kejriwal got into trouble because of money related problems related to the policy of selling liquor in Delhi. The ED says the money received from liquor vendors was used to campaign for his party in Goa.
People are eager to see what happens next in this case. It is important to follow the rules and look at all the facts before making a big decision like getting someone out of jail.
