Meet Justice N Kotiswar Singh
Justice N Kotiswar Singh, currently serving as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, marks a milestone as the first Manipuri judge to ascend to the Supreme Court. Born in Imphal, Manipur, he brings a wealth of legal experience, having been enrolled as an advocate in 1986 and designated as a senior advocate by the Gauhati High Court in 2008.

Joining Justice Singh is Justice R Mahadevan, an esteemed alumnus of Madras Law College and acting Chief Justice of the Madras High Court since May 2024. His elevation bolsters the court’s bench, further strengthening judicial proceedings across the nation.
